Cpl Peck's mother sent me the attached flyer so I'm resending!  Please forward this and post this on your websites and let all you know about this Blood Drive and Fundraiser for Purple Heart Recipient (2X!) Cpl John Peck on May 9th in Antioch, Illinois!

Brothers Come A Runnin!!!!

On my visit to DC last weekend, I had the honor of meeting the Mother of Cpl John Peck, Purple Heart Recipient and HERO, who on his 2nd deployment was severely wounded and is currently in therapy at Walter Reed in Washington, DC.  I have to mention that this Brave Warrior was wounded on his first deployment but that didn't stop this remarkable and gutsy Marine from returning to the battlefield!  When I asked his mother when she will return home, her answer to me was "When my Son no longer needs me!"

The motto of The Band of Mothers is "Warriors Come From Warriors" and when I left Walter Reed and Cpl Peck's Mother Friday night, emblazoned on my brain and in my heart was the true beauty and breath of this motto!  This Mother and Her Warrior Son are the very BEST of America!  I hope every Patriot I know will do all they can to help us make this Blood Drive and Fundraiser for Cpl Peck a HUGE EVENT!

Please join us on May 9th, 75 North Avenue, Antioch, Illinois, mid-morning into the evening!!!  I will send out more details as I get them.   Below is an email I received today from Dennis Crosby, who set-up a fund for Cpl Peck.  Donations can be sent to:

Cpl Peck Fund
State Bank of the Lakes,
440 Lakes St.
Antioch, IL 60002

Watch the video Dennis includes in his email.  Watch it to the end and truly digest what this Brave Hero Says:

"I don't care if someone offered me a million dollars, I'd still do it even after this.  It's my job!"

John may have lost all his limbs in the explosion but the remarkable courage and essence of this Hero lies in his "BRAVEHEART" and nothing or nobody will ever take that away from him!

Hug A Marine, Every Chance You Get, And Their Mother Too!

Look forward to seeing every Patriot I know that can make it on May 9th in Antioch, Illinois.  Brothers Come A Runnin!

All

I continue to receive many requests for an update on Cpl. Peck. I have been able to report that he is improving, and that his prognosis has grown more positive as each week goes by, but I have not had anything really specific to pass on until now..

Tonight, through a forwarded message from Officer Will White of the Illinois Commerce Commission police, I received an online military video made about Cpl Peck by linking to http://www.jtfcapmed.gov/?s=peck&submit=Search. Once there, to view it you will need to go to the second video icon and hit the “click here” link to the right of the icon.  That will take you to another page that you will need to scroll to the bottom of to open the video in Windows Media Player or Quick Time. I was able to download it, but the file is too large to forward in the format I was able to get it in to.

Please take a few moments to access and watch the video. It is moving, and gives us a glimpse of John as the person he is.

Cpl. Peck, soon to be Sgt. Peck, is scheduled to be honored at the Antioch VFW on May 9 during a brief leave from the hospital for a visit home. I will send additional details as they are known. I am sure that many of us will want to make special plans to meet and be with John with a special Antioch welcome home.

This video and John’s story transcends everything, and underscores what is really important in our lives. Its not about politics, paying bills, going on vacation, or travails at work. It is about caring for each other. This video underscores that, and as are those attending to him, Antioch has done a wonderful job supporting John. We can all feel proud to know that we have shared in a tiny, positive way in this brave young man’s life.

Please let me know if you cannot open this attachment. I will help you with a workaround so you can see it.

Please forward the video as you see fit. Once seen, I know that you will agree that many will appreciate what it contains.
