How ironic is it for a Pro-Troop caravan to leave from San Francisco....

Actually, as of this writing there is virtually no coverage by any MSM. Which points out just how biased they are. Some reports cover Move America Forward as a pro-war movement. They miss the whole point.

For me, and I believe MAF and GOE it's more about accomplishing the mission (which Hillary voted for) with total support.

These pusillanimous leftists love to vote for things, before they vote against them. That's because they are spineless.

As the event grows closer, I smell more and more FEAR. :-D

I've never seen so many "peace loving" people so intimidated by a group of veterans exercising the free speech they've EARNED.

Screwed up your plans, did we? ROTFL!!!

Not very peaceful language there, son. As a matter of fact, it sounds like a playground taunt. I didn't know they let you use the computer during recess.

Coop, I think you are correct. It is FEAR we are smelling.

Yup. And most of the screaming is coming from one not-so-articulate, self-proclaimed American Indian (Sureshot/Pokey/EagleSpirit). My guess is his ANSWER comrades assigned him to duty as the official GOE troll, to make him feel he's making a worthwhile contribution to the cause. ;-)

Let them rant; it shows their lack of maturity.

I had posted this in the forum but I think it should go here as well so all can see how the "peaceful" people think. This is from the web site and was posted 7 March: http://encampmenttostopthewar.blogspot.com/

"4. Will there be Civil Disobedience and other forms of direct action?

The Encampment itself will be a legal, safe, and permitted site. However, we understand that some individuals and groups will be engaging in direct action during the same time period."

They are actually acknowledging confrontation from their side and are doing nothinng to stop it. So Sureshot if you want to start somewhere start in your own house. And your welcome for the freedom to use profanity towards the people that kept you safe.

Shovelhead, they call their law-breaking activities "direct action" to try and fool people into thinking that they are peaceful people.

Even with that word-parsing, we still know what they are.

Maybe I's missing sumptin'. This website is calling for protecting the VW Memeorial from vandalization. I'm all for it, but where is the threat? There are some links to articles about a liberal caravan leaving San Fran (What a shock!), but I don't really see any threat to the monument. Help me out here, what am I missing?

Jan 07 a veterans memorial was vandalized in Pittsburgh PA. That same month this same group of protesters also vandalized (with spray paint) the Capitol steps. They also dishonored (but didn't damage) the bronze statue at the Navy Memorial, after earlier ripping down the American flag at the same location. This same group also feels it's necessary to protest the war every Friday evening outside of Walter Reed, instead of leaving the wounded and their families alone.

Trust me, there's a threat, although I think the success of this effort has now diminished (but not removed) that threat. But that's not the only reason we're gathering. It's also to show support for our fine folks in uniform like yourself.

My second sentence is misleading. I don't know who vandalized the Pittsburgh memorial (I'm not sure they ever found out). But Code Pink, ANSWER and/or UFPJ (organizers of this event) participated in all the other events I described.

It is truly unfortunate that people are shocked that the caravan left from San Francisco! It is because the media shows you only what the libs want you to see! Coverage of the Move America Forward caravan showed mostly interviews of the anti-war protesters (all eight of them) and only one or two troop supporters. They were too afraid to show the aerial photos of the pro-troopers and the caravan. What SWEET irony for the libs and the so-called peace activists. You should have seen their shocked faces as we all converged at their phony memorial in Lafayette. Actually, I truly smelled "fear". They were really stupid to actually try and pick a fight with some of the veterans. They insisted that the cops either arrest us or throw us out because we were "trespassing". There are many of us supporters that live in the San Francisco Bay Area and we are not silent. The media just refuses to cover us!

Move America Forward is VERY supportive of the Troops and Conservative in nature. They have been opposing Sheehanistas since Aug 2005. They were (as well as my self) in Crawford, TX (population under a few hundred) with over 4000 supporters of the Troops. Sheehan and the Socialists only had 1000 that day. I did not go see the Sheehanistas in their fancy "Taj Majah" Soros tents that day but heard reports- and that was the number the paper reported. All Bought and paid for by Soros he pimp. But I did see and hear the father that had to go over to "Camp Casey" and retrieve his own sons cross- THREE TIMES- He did NOT want it there but they didn't care about him or his son just the Socialist cause of hating America. The Caravan that time brought several gold star parents to retrieve the crosses (so they would not be used for the Socialist cause and scocialist lies) This group Sheehan is with is a Quaker group that has been around since the Vietnam days- they used to go help the North Vietenamese while our heros were dying and fighting... ALSO About two years ago they were doing this same thing with boots -saying military people sent them their own boots (sure they did- I think they went to the army-navy store to get them). this is when the lie about the 600,000 Iraqis dying started- They were in Dallas at City hall and a Gold Star Mom met them there and told them to take her Son's name off of their boot display. They (the ANti AMERICAN- ANTI TROOP SCUM) told her they had every right to display her son's name. They would not let her speak. They are the LOWEST SCUM. Also I was there part of the time and I remember some "professor type" that ask this question: Do you expext me to actually believe that the Soldiers,Marines and other troops are the ones keeping us Safe (he was serious). And Me ( a Marine Vet Wife) and about 10 Marine Moms said in unison...."YES" very loudly--and he ran away never to be seen again. So you see a lot of these people are not only dispicable but wusses... What are we going to tell them when they ask the Question about the Troops keeping us safe????

Don't let these people (Shehanistas) fool you into thinking the crosses or boots are respectful- they are not- a wolf in sheeps clothing.

Fellow Eagles,

Our opposition is surely lashing out in their fear. I have started to see a pattern in the profanity and semi-literate commentary coming from commenters who hate what we stand for and what we will accomplish on March 17th. However, the opposition is not as widespread as it may appear. In fact, there is one poor, pathetic soul who is literally obsessed with the GOE - he's here every day, ALL day and makes it his business to harass and insult the visitors to this site. Because he is alone, he has used many different names in order to make it seem like his radical, hateful, and purely idiotic viewpoint is shared by many.

Allow me to introduce you to the multiple personalities of a very sick man, one we originally knew as "Eagle Spirit":

President Bush (commented here)

BillyKCartier (commented here)

David Jacobs (commented here)

SureShot (commented here and here)

Pokey Smokey (commented here and here)

Edward R. Transu (commented here)

I will leave this information in all the places he's left his little turds so that people can see his mental derangement for themselves.

I had the pleasure of going to the Caravan in Phoenix Az. As a mother of a soldier serving in Iraq I bless these patriots. They tell the straight truth. WE ARE AT WAR.What part of theis does Nancy Pelosi not get? The woman is a moron. I am the founder of packages From Home a non profit group dedicated to our troops. We have sent over 85,000 packages to our brave men and women that draw the line in the sand. I am proud to be part of the pro-troop pro- America majority in this Country. Please support our troops in your own unique way. GOD BLESS AMERICA, GOD BLESS OUR TROOPS.

Every one of you has freedom now because of our troops, because of the sacrifices that they made. I am a veteran and I was proud to serve my country and I am still proud to say that I am a veteran. But first and foremost I am an American soldier who supports the troops of this country. I will not stand by and watch the Jane Fonda's, Ed Asner's and Cindy Sheehans bad mouth our troops and belittle our pride. Fonda, Kerry, and their ilk were, probably more than any other single cause. Responsible for our pull out of Vietnam, their Anti-American rhetoric and protest marches that went almost unchallenged. We were beaten at home by traitors. The troops that came home from Vietnam were forced to endure insults and slurs; we should not allow this travesty to happen again..

"NEVER AGAIN"

It’s within our power ( the power of numbers ) to show our support. Everyone one of us has as much right to support our troops and country as the anti war mob, does to tear them down. All veterans, those that came home and those that did not, have given us the honor and the privilege to express our views in support of them. These troops now deserve to be greeted at home for the HERO'S that they are.

"NEVER AGAIN" shall I stand by and allow these protesters to go unchallenged. We have a voice, pen, and body to stand together with our brothers and sisters who are true Americans. And assert our right to protest for the support our troops or stand between the protesters and our troops.
