On June 17 2011 the Ladies of the NC VFW presented a donation of $11,000.00 to the Gathering of Eagles, Laptops for Wounded Warriors Missions. This funding will be used to present 30 laptops to our Wounded Warriors at Fort Bragg and Camp Lajeune NC..As a GOE Wounded Warrior Advocate I was joined by Captain Larry Bailey to thank them for this great effort to bring the gift of communications home to our wounded.
To date over 220 laptops have been presented at Walter Reed, Fort Sill OK, Fort Bragg NC, Bethesda Navy Hospital, Portsmouth Va Naval Hospital.

I am very proud to inform all that our laptop missions have been 100% funded by private citizens who care deeply for our military and I wish to thank each and every one of those who have done this most wonderful work on their behalf. To all the members of the GOE I say we can continue this work if only you yourself reach out within your community and state your case..Many wish to support our troops. it is your job to show them how..Thanks
