SHORT NOTICE ACTION ALERT!!

Code Pinko's, IVAW and VFP headed to Quantico 8/8/10

I received the alert this morning about CP, IVAW, VFP and others showing up at Quantico on Sunday. The Code Pink website states that they are wanting to meet at the Amtrak Station in the town of Quantico. I called the police and informed them of this action and they were apparently unaware at that time. They took my information and contact numbers and told me they would pass it around to the concerned authorities. Later this afternoon I went to the PMO on Quantico MCB to inform them and they told me that they were already aware of the action and were making plans to shut any rally/demonstration down immediately.

Now the logistical problem ... Q-Town is landlocked by Quantico MCB and the Potomac River, so the Marines have to grant access to visitors of Q-Town and the MPs do not have jurisdiction in Q-town. That can be a good thing though ... Q-town is small and crowded and loaded with Marines. I don't see Code Pink, IVAW, VFP, or whoever getting a warm welcome there. Also if the 'peace activists' try to deliver care packages and letters to Spc Manning, they will be shut down immediately by the MPs.

A couple of heads up for anyone coming on Sunday ... tell the MPs at the main gate that you are going to Q-Town and you will be waved through with drivers license ... Photography is restricted on MCB (unless authorized so use caution) ... Firearms definitely prohibited and I've seen people arrested if they are found to have them in their vehicle ... The Marines are serious about no demonstrations on MCB and Q-town is very small and crowded, any flow over could have you either turned back, escorted off the MCB altogether, or arrested (but I doubt that from our side).

Be cautious, be aware, and have a ton of fun ... hope to see any and all of y'all there ... Jim

OH...Looks like George Soro's is footing the bill for the show! ANSWER is claiming the "rally" as their own.

I'm planning to be part of the counter-demonstration against the Code Stinkers on Sunday. Disappointed that there is only one post on GoE's website and no follow-up with current info and Op Plan. Anyway, here's a link to the enemy's battle plans.
