Not to be silly, but this is a true story my dad told be about a little event that happened within his company that occured June 1945, Germany, just after tyhe Krauts surrendered.

While serving in the 63 inv div, and after surviving 4 months of the push into Germany, one of platoon buddies came by a small monkey taken from a German POW. The monkey was cute and playful and a bit rambuctious, more and more each day. He'd steal people's stuff out of their pockets and their bags, cigarettes, chocolate, etc. He'd eat the chocolate and give the other stuff to the new GI owner, who'd apologize and give it back. This little monkey was really starting to p**s the fellas off, though. One day, while the outfit was resting, someone gave the monkey a huge portion of chocolate laxitive (like exlax i guess) and the monkey ate it ravenously. Shortly afterwards the monkey uncuntrollably shat all over the house they were occupying. On the floor, the walls, their gear, EVERYWHERE! Disgusting! They had to leave the house and take another. They also threw the monkey's owner a little beating and took the monkey from him. later that afternoon, they tied up the little monkey to a pole in the yard, put a little blindfold over his eyes and formed a firing squad. My father and 3 buddies... they took their battle tested M1s, lined up in formation.. Ready! Aim! Fire! And so went the little monkey. It survived the war, but not the GI Sh*ts
