Ride to Remember-Vermont
Published: 06/24/2009 Posted On: June 24, 2009 at 8:41 AM By: Kathy
Good morning all,

The Vermont Fallen Families would like you to know that they are holding their first fund raiser for the Vermont Fallen Heroes GWOT Memorial Fund, to be held August 29, 2009, our "Ride to Remember", recognizing all 35 fallen soldiers, marines, and airmen from Vermont, as well as all those that have, are or will serve in this war.

This event will afford everyone the opportunity to visit as many of the 27 hometowns of our fallen soldiers, in one day, as they would like. A list of the towns will be provided.

All participants are required to collect a minimum of $150. or more in donations from their family, friends, co-workers, employers, neighbors and businesses.  A packet can be requested by contacting either Stacy Cadorette at 802-476-9645 or at StacyCadorette@yahoo.com
or Marion Gray at 802-456-8862 or at  mgsutpl@together.net

All the info is in the packet, a list of rules, suggestions etc.  There will be prizes for the persons collecting the largest amounts in donations and also for the best "poker hand" collected, one token each from the 27 towns listed.

We are working on an awesome prize for the top person who collects the most, a Harley Davidson motorcycle.  That is still in the works and will email you with definite word, hopefully, in the next week or so.

The celebration party, end of the ride, will be held at Lucky's Trailer Sales, just off Exit 3, I-89 in So, Royalton. Live music, free food, and prizes will be awarded at that time. All this will start at 5pm,  Most of our official "pit stops", hometowns, will be open from 5am on, so you can start early, from home, and hit as many as you would like and still get to Lucky's by 5pm.

We encourage you to let all your members know, as soon as possible of this event, possibly posting it on any club web site or newsletters published. This promises to be the ride of rides and look forward to seeing our friends from previous events there.

If you have questions, please feel free to contact the numbers above or email us.

We have our memorial design all done, which should be unveiled in the next 2 weeks, and our location should be determined by the end of this week.

Until we meet again, hopefully on August 29th, ride safe and may the sun shine upon you all.

Sincerely, Marion Gray
Vermont Fallen Families
