Anyone considered contacting not only the media but the RNC about GOE II ? Seems like the RNC would love to show the media the "other side of the street." I'm sure that, liked or not, the RNC has more clout with the press than we do. Just a thought.

Jim Diehl, You can count Chet Edwards among those Democratic representatives who was voted into office by veterans. He appealed to them, he brings "pork" to them, and now he is voting for a withdrawal deadline. I challenged him in a letter to poll his veterans and see how many want a withdrawal date attached to the funding bill. Haven't heard anything yet.

To clarify for one of the posts, the "here" that they are meeting in is in Washington D.C., not the New York Times offices. Remember that as sophisticated and well-funded as these groups are they are having these calls with Senators and Representatives who are already of a bent to be anti-U.S. or at least would be embarassed to be pro-U.S. Its not a far push to get the Dems to be anti-war at any time in the last 40 years. Especially they want to make President Bush look bad. Only in the wake of a cataclysmic attack like 9/11 would they act in the nation's interest first.
