WELL STATED SIR.
AS YOU, I HAD NOTHING TO PREPARE ME FOR THE SIGHT OF THOSE WONDERFUL PEOPLE WAITING FOR ME AT THE VIETNAM WALL ON MARCH 17 2007. WHAT I FOUND WAS MY BROTHERS & SISTERS, WHO I HAD WAITED SO LONG TO SEE ONCE MORE, AND NEW AMERICANS WHO SHARED THE COMMON VALUES WE ALL NOW STAND FOR. THE GATHERING OF EAGLES IS ALL YOU SAID & MORE TO ME THEY ARE FAMILY & THE TROOPS IN COMBAT ARE OUR FAMILY. FAMILY ALWAYS STANDS UP FOR FAMILY. THANKS FOR FINE EXAMPLE OF WHY EACH OF US ARE STANDING UP AT THE COUNTER RALLY LINE TO FACE THE ANTI-WAR MOVEMENT, & WORKING 24/7 TO SUPPORT THE TROOPS & THEIR MISSION. THANK YOU FOR YOUR SERVICE TO OUR NATION & OUR TROOPS, YOU ARE INDEED A TRUE WAR EAGLE. GOD BLESS THE UNITED STATES OF AMERICA & OUR BRAVE MILITARY. To: Gabi
What a great Post!
Thank you Erin for a very well written and honest observation of the "GOE". We are fortunate to have an Eagle like yourself on-board. Continue to write in, just what the GOE Front page needs, in getting the word spread, on what we as Eagles do. Semper Fi & Eagles Up! Gunny To: Gabi

Great read, very much appreciated and anytime you hear of anything in DC or VA and you need Eagles you just need to send out that call and my family will be there.

Hey Erin, that was a great letter! It was wonderful to meet you in DC for goe II. You went out of your way to come to my hotel and find me to show me around DC. You told me while we were having dinner that you wrote. I had no idea and was looking forward to reading some of your writing. What a wonderful job you did on this piece! I know you take alot of flack from your friends and family about your activities with the goe and supporting our military, but you do it anyway. Keep up the good work and I hope to read more of your writing in the future. You have a talent, keep using it! Best of luck in your future schooling. Thanks for being a true eagle who supports our military and veterans. You go girl!! bama

Well Done, Erin. I have to admit that I saw the request the other day and made a note to respond, but I kept putting it off, thinking I had more important things to take care of first. This morning, your letter pointed out to me that no matter how busy we may be, the MOST IMPORTANT thing in this fight against terrorists are our troops. We need to take the time to let them know we are out here and we will not let them down. It took about the same amount of time to send a note of thanks and encouragement as it did to post this reply, so come on Eagles. I know you've got work, meetings, appointments, soccer games, Scouts, moonbat-bashing and all sorts of other things going on in your life, but please take 5 minutes to send a note to those who have put their lives on hold for us.

Dear Erin
Requesting permission to copy and paste and print your letter. I would like to include it with letters that we are sending to the troops. And I would like to share it with people who have not yet heard of GATHERING OF EAGLES. You did a wonderful job of telling the history! Cindy Stanley Cards and Cocoa for the Troops Organizer To: Gabi
Dear everyone,
This is Erin, author of the letter. I wanted to thank you all for your kind and encouraging words. I also want to emphasize that I couldn't have done that without all of you. There was a certain amount of poetic hyperbole involved, but-- you know this group--that really is what it takes to try and sketch the passion and diversity of this group in just a few short sentences. So-- thank you all for being there! For those of you who have asked permission to copy, forward, paste, or otherwise disseminate my letter, please feel free to do so. The only things I ask are that you include my screen name (Erin Coda) and don't change anything (though you may edit for length)-- only because I worked very hard on that letter. If anyone needs my real name and contact info, please e-mail me at yahoo (the address is exactly what you think it is) or send me a PM on the forum, and I'll provide the necessary info. And for those who may STILL be wondering (that would be you, George Samek!)-- yes, I am a woman. Proud woman's college grad with long hair and everything, wore a skirt (though not the infamous pink one!) to GOE II. Keep the faith, Erin To: Gabi
Erin
Just Thank you ! To: Gabi
Yes Erin THANKS EAGLES UP!!!!!!
To: Gabi
Thank you Erin so putting such a powerful and honorable statement: for your words are very true. For on 17 March 2007 as you have said, we all did come together as one untied family and one unit in which a new chapter in American History began when the Vietnam Veterans along with veterans from WWll to those of present day along with many others who have strong faith in our nation and our service men and women gathered together at the Vietnam Memorial Wall in Washington DC to stand united as one against the many anti-war groups and other protesters who threatened to dishonor our National Memorials and our men and women now serving in harms way for the freedom to those who seek their freedoms through out the world. To these men and women, all veterans and the many others of this nation we stand together to proclaim....."NEVER AGAIN"
