Okay my peeps, here's a chance to have a good time for a great cause. Chef John Mims of Daddy Mims Creole BYOB is donating an entire evening's proceeds from his restaurant to the initiative we are currently supporting in Philadelphia. Yes We Care is a project brought to fruition by proud US Marine Clayton Williams. With NO government support he's housing homeless veterans on his own dime. Here's our chance to help.
When Chef Mims offered to do this benefit I was overcome, but when he said, "I consider it an honor to do this. Without men and women fighting for me and my family I wouldn't even have a restaurant. It's the least I can do."
Come out and have dinner, bring your own booze and pretend that you're in Uptown New Orleans gearing up for THE party weekend of the year; the final weekend of Carnival. All the details are in the attached flier. I promise you all that it is the best New Orleans cuisine I have EVER eaten north of Lake Pontchartrain, LA.
Hope to see you all there and, as always, thanks for all that you all do. Manchu.
