I received the following email from Kory Atkinson, DuPage College Board of Trustee.  A great man and Patriot who is not afraid to take a stand:

I am delighted to report that Bill Ayers will not be speaking at College of DuPage !  The Student Activities Office has officially “postponed” the Ayers event (see below). It is my understanding that the invitation to Ayers has been rescinded and will not be renewed.  Thank you for your commitment to ensure that our students are not misguided to think that Bill Ayers is a model of leadership.

This episode serves as a reminder that it matters who serves on the boards of our public schools.  A more liberal board at COD would not have objected to the Ayers invitation or heeded your calls to stop this abuse of public dollars.  Please remember that four of COD’s seven board seats are up for election on April 7, 2009.  I am working to put together a strong group of candidates to fill these seats.

Please accept my gratitude for your support on this important issue and celebrate a hard-earned victory!!

We Won Folks!!! 

Bill Ayers will NOT speak at DuPage College in February. 

I think the moral of this story is, just like his lovely wife Mary said, "Don't mess with Joe when he's hungry and tired!"  Joe said it the best tonight when the young student yelled out to him "Who is Bill Ayers?"  and Joe stoically replied, "He killed 3 cops."  Joe said it straight up and left.  He didn't wait to speak to the Board members, he spoke to us, the people.

Joe is from the south side of Chicago , and so am I. We're from the time in Chicago when that meant something.  Back then, you didn't mess with our Policeman and Fireman, and you sure didn't mess with our Soldiers!

To all of you folks who tirelessly called and emailed, YOU made the difference here.  Several of the faculty spoke about ALL the emails and calls they were getting objecting to Bill Ayers speaking engagement, it was clear there was a tremendous amount.  THANK YOU ALL.  We are powerful and we can make things happen.  We exposed "old" Billy Ayers and he is out $1,000!    

All through the rampage and tantrums of Bill Ayers and his thugs, those who were hurt the most were our brave warriors in Vietnam . Katie, when you finish this story, I hope you will finish with these words from a dear friend,  A GREAT AMERICAN HERO, HE SERVED IN VIETNAM :  

I remember Mr Ayers very well from when I was a Vietnam draftee trying to bring Democracy to a nation of people who were faced with having Communism shoved down their throats. That is exactly what Mr Ayers wanted, a communist/socialist state right here in this country and he was willing to get it the same way it was being spread around the world with anarchy and force, because that is what HE believed!

He has said he has not changed his mind...I feel he is as dangerous now as he was then willing to spread his ideas through murder and terrorism. A man no better in any way than Charles Manson! If that sounds overboard we should ask the millions who died in the Vietnam, Laos and Cambodian killing fields...where the skulls were stacked over six feet high because they wanted a way of life their murderers disagreed with...Maybe the College of Du Page could arrange to have Charles Manson come in and profess his views on "Helter Skelter" the two men are the same in their insane views of life.

PS  Hey Joe, I'm taking you off the email list now.  I bet you're so relieved
