The Pumpkin for Peace actually stayed for almost the whole hour today and they had quite a crowd. One guy walked up, thanked us, then walked across to the opposing three corners and LOUDLY told them that they were f^*ked up, that we WERE at peace on 9-11 and that they should be ASHAMED of themselves. We could hear him from across the street. Turns out this guy lost two relatives in the twin towers. Anyhow, it was rainin' like hell and they ran like rabbits prior to the expiration time of the permits. They had a good turnout and we had our three...so we outnumbered them. Got a couple of one finger salutes today but who cares...no accounting for intelligence (or the lack thereof). Anyhow, a GREAT day on the corner in Huntspatch. On an unrelated note, my committee chair approved my dissertation proposal on Wednesday so it's been a good week.
