Lord God, You are Lord of the armies. You are Lord of the heavenly host. You are Lord of all! Lord God, You foreknew. You have set in the heart of men and women the desire to serve in our armed forces. You have drawn them to this task, this purpose. You alone, Lord God, fully grasp the critical importance of the mission - of standing up to the evil of terrorism and fighting back. Of being proactive in our stance and not waiting until the battle is on our soil. Lord God, You raised up the military of today for such a time as this. And so now we come before You and we bow to You as King. We adore You as the only One who can and we ask You to fulfill Your promise to be Protector, Provider and Jehovah Rapha, the Lord our Healer. Lord God, remind Your remant in the military to be in worship and prayer even as they go onto the battlefield. Lord God, hear the worship of the remnant and honor their hearts for You with Your protection. Lord God, due to the prayers and worship of the few we are asking that You protect them ALL in such a way, that You provide Your strategy to our military leaders, that You give discernment of where the enemy is hiding to our troops in the air and on the ground such that there will be story after story told of inexplicable miraculous happenings in intense battles. Thereby reveal Yourself as with our troops in this hour. Lord they have been faithful to join in to serve. Be faithful in Your response. Lord God, we ask all this mindful that this is earth, not heaven and that all of us have physical bodies that are destined to die at some point. But we dare come to You like Abraham, like Moses, and like so many others and we ask You to spare our troops. Keep them safe. Lord God, give them swift and speedy victory. Lord God give them supernatural wisdom and vision to route out the enemy and cause the leaders to be captured alive. Lord God, let more prominent leaders than even expected be caught and taken prisoner.....And yet, Lord God, we ask all this knowing You are God and we are not. We ask all this, knowing Your plan is best. And so we bow to You and choose to trust You and we will wait in joyful hope for the end of the battle - to see what You have done (Your hand in it) and then we will rejoice because we trust in who You are. In Jesus' name, Amen.
