AAR Washington DC

Well another year has passed and still the little miscreants show up in DC. This year there were MAYBE 2000. Pretty pitiful showing. There were about 8 of us standing guard around the Wall and the rest of the Vietnam Memorials, along with about 10 DC police officers. SassySuz had her wonderful American Flag/GoE Flag ensemble, Garth showed up with some guys from NJ (sorry, I didn't catch any of your names. :( ) and TJ came out to play too. I'm assuming there were more around other areas and FReepers across the bridge and a few of America's finest standing guard by the entrance to the Memorial Park (yes...forgot their names as well.)

It was MUCH warmer than the orignal GoE, thankfully! The kids behaved themselves as best as could be expected. They were, for the most part, respectful while visiting the Wall and believe me, I followed all those that even looked like they might consider mischief.

Suz and I had a "friendly" discussion with some type of reporter (?) who was pissed off that he couldn't interview veterans at the Wall. I tried to nicely explain that it was sacred ground and he could just as easily interview them when they left the area. He got all indignant with me and said "my father served 2 tours in Vietnam so I have the right". I tried briefly to explain to him about respect and then thought my best bet would be to walk away. (sorry for leaving him to you Suz!) You just can't fix stupid.

Later we met a lovely young Navy wife and her teenage son. They have recently been stationed at Norfolk and decided they would come to DC today, having NO IDEA that this protest was happening. Imagine their horror, coming from Nevada! Anyway, she stopped by while some little moonbat chick was yammering away at me. The precious little thing finally asked me if I had an opinion and I said I have alot of them. She asked me to share them and I said I have nothing to say to you. She asked me why and I simply said because I don't like you. Well that set her off to yammering again. When she realized I wasn't going to respond further she sat on the bench behind me and this Navy wife (I'm sorry...can't remember her name either! CRS is setting in!) was trying to figure out what was going on. She started talking to the girl and when Navy wife told the girl her husband was in the Navy and deployed, the girl said "well, we all die sometime". I wanted to punch the little bitch in the mouth, but hugged the wife instead. Fortunately, her son didn't hear that comment.
After talking for a bit, TJ and I decided to go recon the moonbats, headcount, sign of the year...you know...innocent stuff like that. :) The Navy wife and her son joined us after warnings to not engage with them no matter what they said. Like I said, there was maybe 2000, but I think that's pushing it and one of the DC officer's concurred. My favorite sign? "Livestock produces 40% more greenhouse gas than transportation." This, mind you, was at a Vegan table. So it naturally begs the question...Do they want us to eat more livestock???? I don't get it!

We packed it in about 3...not sure what happened to Garth and crew once the moonbats started moving. Hopefully the rest will get on here and add their thoughts...

Hey all I wanted to elaborate a little about Navy wife. I in all my wisdom forgot my money and ID in my car. Kat held my Flags while I went to get them. Upon my return I could see Navy wife and her Son were terribly upset. I saw this moonbat with one of those jihad scarves wrapped around her, yammering at Navy wife. I asked is she bothering You? Well the moonbat hit the road within seconds, Navy wife stated, well she asked her a question. I stated, well the little bit I heard she was spewing nothing but lies. Navy wife said she told her, her husband would not want to come home! I informed her her husband is a hero, he is the reason we all sleep safely in our beds at night. The son told me he wanted to go into ROTC and join the Army, I told him he was an honorable young man and his father must be proud. Before they departed, I told Navy wife her husband would come home and we would welcome him as a hero. She seemed relieved after our brief discussion.
To me this is a telling tale on why you cannot have logical discussions with the fifth column, at this stage in our American experiment we are not ready to deal with traitors, the way I think appropriate. One last comment about Gathering of Eagles being non-partisan. I think as we do not promote either Democrat or Republican, because we have traitors to the "cause" in both parties. Yet we must make a distinction between treason and patriotism. When you are determined to support the troops and the memorials, you must identify the enemy. Weather they be members of the Republican party or Democrat party, do they uphold the Constitution against all enemies foreign or domestic, per their Oath. Or do they undermine the Constitution given any opportunity to do so.
We can not be politically correct in our defense of the Troops the Memorials or the Constitution.

I did take photos but they all were of potential suspects if the Memorials were vandalized

Sounds like things went well in Washington. As for the moonbat making that remark to a Navy wife.....well....it speaks volumes about their contention that they support our troops. moonbats are really sick, angry, vile creatures. As most of the moonbats are mentally unbalanced one has to look at the comments they make and consider the source.

Nanuet sends a shout out to Garth who made the trip down to DC! We are proud to have one of our own down in Washington!
Did anyone see Ken?

In any case we send our warmest regards to all those Eagles who faced off against the moonbat's domestic insurgency!

Way to GO EAGLES!!!

"well, we all die sometime".
What you should have said was "And you didn't know."
And when she said "Know what?"
You reply "That today was your time."
Watch her run when she finally realizes what that means.

(Forgot to add "THANK YOU ALL!!!!!" for being there when I couldn't)

Nice AAR Kathy. I came down with Ken from Nanuet and three retired soldiers from my old unit:Bill, Bruce and Tim. When we first arrived we walked through the enemy encampment. the odor was overwhelming so we went to The Wall our main objective. We saw Sassy Suz by the statue honoring Vietnam vets, all by herself. We arrived around 0920 so expected to see a large contingent from GoE, as that was one of the reasons to start this outfit to guard monuments against the miscreants. So we went down to the wall with our flags and set up out of the way of mourners and visitors along the chain. We saw several IVAW pukes come down one by one with their Palastinian love scarves wrapped around their puny necks. How those pucks had the nerve to come onto hallowed ground is beyond me. You could see they weren't there to honor men who they couldn't make a pimple on their a$$. I watched everyone of the punks and one who was wearing sunglasses kept looking over at me every 30 seconds. Thank God we were there. Those pukes were talking to a guide at the wall, distracting him as they gathered in a group right at the wall. We all know they are cowards and liars, now we know they don't have the stones to do anything even when they outnumber us, which is really impossible. A Park Police captain came up to us and told us we had to leave the area, they couldn't allow us there with flags(considered a protest). They don't want to set a precedent and then have the unwashed there. We moved to the West entrance and set up off to the side. At one time we had 9 patriots there. NINE! To me that was the most pathetic display of patriotism I have ever seen. Where the hell was anyone who lives in the area? And don't tell me you were waiting for June. The most vile creatures who walk our streets and hate our brave men and women in uniform are in the nations CAPITAL, spewing their hate, and 9 people show up. We didn't follow the parade across the bridge, we were livid.

Thank you to everyone who made the trip to DC to protect the Wall.
Garth's criticism is on the mark.
The problem was that no one took ownership of this event to get the word out.
I think too many of us are hooked on the slow motion train wreck that the Obama administration is making of this country, or had serious personal matters to contend with.
Neither of which is an excuse to ignore important events. I am as guilty as anyone.
Some New Yorkers were willing to go, but internal commo got so mashed up that the trip was canceled.
I apologize for letting you all down.
It won't happen again.

I'm sorry that I wan't able to make this weekends activities in DC.  I have to be there on the 31st for an Interment of one of our Old Spooks at Arlington Cemetary.  Between that, Run For The Wall and The VI in June followed by the annual meeting of the SEA Old Spooks and Spies, it has stretched my resources rather thin.  For those of you making RollintgThunder I'll be at the Arlington Holiday Inn on Friday May 22d.  If I don't see you then I'll see you in June.  Keep up the great work.

Eatin' cows.
No, they don't want the livestock to be raised in the first place, because they're wasteful and fart a lot. ;) BTW, all of this energy and pollution and shortages stuff will be solved in about 6 years. Write me at brianfh01@yahoo.ca for a summary.

garth,
The event was not an official GoE function. I know there were a bunch of FReepers on the other side of the Arlington Bridge. I'll email you. :)
