What has happened? This infuriates me. Has the "level the playfield" concept in our schools been expanded into a P.C. "level the battlefield" in Iraq and Afganistan? This is wrong and dangerous. Our service people can not function effectively under home political and legal threat. They are placed in undue personal danger when they are discouraged from acting decisively.
Have American forgotten what war is??? How war must be conducted? Our reduction in forces is eliminating the positive and patriotic effects that discipline, service, duty, hardship, courage, honor and citizen respect and appreciation contributed to our national culture and values. Most Americans have no idea of what defeat means because they are insulated from the realities of combat. Like the quote says, Each of us is only one, but we can and are doing something, as individual Eagles and as Team Eagles.
