Thankyou for for serving your nation Dan. However the letteer i just rad "was it worth it" begs a few questions . I paid a high price for Volunteering for the Army, then for Vietnam. Would I Go again?, IN A HEARTBEAT, those I served like you became my family . My loss was in the days before medical miricales had come of age. I rememebering going from Bath , Va to , syracuse , N.Y. VA , on to Buffalo N.Y.VA and was not treated very well but then , that was 3 plus decades ago and today orthopidics actually has clinics. My only sense of lose comes from my Brothers and sisters who now mock me and call me a wannabe. I have no doubt each of them had their own pain in country but to make up ficticious tales about regarding me just to shame me and thn to have this group lock me out as a memeber even after talking with Larry the president I do not understand. yes dan it was worth for me and i would do it again howeverI would never open my heart to those who have lied about me for ther own gain. Knowing this will NEVER be pubished that to shows the cowardace of any in this group . My Honor is in order and in tact. God bless you and all those who have served and are serving today, as for me most will call these facts whining lol . spend a day in my chair then well talk. post this kit Copy to Larry Dave Rennie Vietnam 1969-1970 MOS 11B

The way I see it:: In the pasted when we came home we had all these Veterans organizations, some welcomed us in some didn't. Some allowed us to drink at there bar but didn't want to hear our stories because they say we weren't in the big one. Although the statistics show otherwise. They were as much a part of the problem as anyone else. There was no unity or will among these organisation's to fight the bigger problem of the public discrimination against the Veterans coming home. And still 40yrs later the same problem exists....Until 17 March 07 when we showed them that we can come together under one banner of unity,, to stand up to the the people who are ANTI-AMERICAN..That banner is "GATHERING OF EAGLES"....need I say more?

Welcome Home Brother... Welcome Home..!
GM 2/505, 3rd Bde, 82nd Abn Div 1970-1973 "The American Paratrooper exists to give the enemy soldier the best chance to die for his country." -- Gen. George Patton "Those Americans who went to Vietnam fought for freedom, a truly noble cause. You and your comrades-in-arms who faced danger and death in Vietnam fought as well as any Americans in our nation's history. Vietnam was not so much a war as it was one long battle in an ongoing war, the war in defense of freedom, which is still under assault. This battle was lost not by those brave American and South Vietnamese troops who were waging it but by political misjudgments and strategic failure at the highest levels of government. The tragedy, indeed the immorality of those years was that for the first time in our history our country and its government failed to match the heroic sacrifice of our men in the field. This must never happen again." President Ronald Reagan To: Gabi
I agree with all each of you has said however when a group must resort to hidding in dark places to insure only the chosen are allowed in the "GeneralChatRoom" and other games are played to keep a Veteran out of the group. I for one quetion what this group is hiding. Bleeding to keep the colors on the flag is not difficult. Painful beyind comprehension, hearing last rights leaves mental scars that never fade so what gives NON combatants the right to choose who is allowed in what part of the group. A At one time I quit the group to stop anothers assults now I RESCIND that resignation for the Good of the group as I have earned the right to be an eagle. if you see me in the General chat room you'll know I am a memeber if not maybe question what si really going on here One Proud nam vet dave rennie amshadow@earthlink.net

Dave, your comments touched the inner being of my soul. My fellow brother, I would be honored to roll down the street beside you on the 15th of September. I even have some cool stickers for my chair the Jim and George gave me. No one can take your honor unless YOU let him or her. I still hear the pride in your words along with the pain, and that my letter touched your heart. Continue the good fight beside me in Washington. Just remember, " All gave some, but some gave all. It is for this reason that Gathering of Eagles rose from the ashes in order to protect the Honor and memories of those who did give all. For if not us, then who will stand by the memorials of the fallen and protect them from the scurrilous cowards of the land who would willing deface their hallowed resting places.

The Honor wold be mine Brother. Once I am treated as a full memeber and allowed in the general chat room and as any other member I wont miss a confrontation with the moonbats. Untuil then you can't blame me for not supporting the actions of a magement that cant fix a small problem and get me a password that works Brother I smell something burning man Dave amshadow@earthlink.net To: Gabi
It is truly an honor for me to be here as a part of GOE to be able to stand up for and with fellow veterans and brothers my father is a Viet Nam Vet and I have almost completed my first tour in Operation OIF I will be proud to stand with my brother's on 15 September and Dan you are correct " ALL GAVE SOME , SOME GAVE ALL " ! it doesn't matter what conflict we were called to stand up and fight for our beliefs and way of life in what matters is we answered the call when our country needed us and that we served honorably and did our jobs to the best of our abilities. DUTY,HONOR, GOD, COUNTRY,SELFLESS SERVICE these are things no moonbat will understand ever only the people who have worn the uniform and their families understand what that means, moonbats have no clue what we sacrifice to do the things we do or have done or the hardships we endure. Moonbats out now find another place to bother someone if America is so bad by all means go someplace else as quick as you can or get your heads out of your asses and get with the program

Dan, God Bless You and Thank you from a grateful American!
Dave R, I'm confused, or maybe I just read your post wrong... we dont have a chat room, just the forum and the same password you used to post on this board should work for the new forum here... In my experience Larry, Chris, Gabi and Kit have been pretty good about answering emails if you have questions. To: Gabi
Thank you Dan for you wonderful and heartfelt post. Keep telling people how it was. I never went to combat. Women weren't allowed when I was in. I am often left feeling like a "fake soldier." Do the guys who never went to combat feel the same way?
To: Gabi
devildog, never discount the sacrfice for your country, Combat or non combat does not make one any less a soldier. I spent 18 months in a non combat support arena before shipping out. Take pride in your service. For with out your tireless effort behind the front, there could not have been a front. So hold your head high and never think of your self again as being a "fake soldier". WELCOME HOME SOLIDER. See ya in DC..
EAGLES UP To: Gabi
Dan....You have spent your whole life serving your country and your fellow man in one capacity or another...I commend you for the path you have taken....We need more like you
Eagles UUUP!!! To: Gabi
Devildog,, A fake soldier doesn't have a DD214..You DO....That is one of the problems that I dealt with in fighting Veterans right and issues for over twenty years..That attitude by some organisational combat Veterans is what keep us from becoming twenty million strong. Now we have a chance to come together under one banner,,Gathering Of Eagles. There will always be self-centered Saboteurs,,,That is why I say..."TRUE GATHERING OF EAGLES UP NOW"
To: Gabi
Jim
If that "fake soldier" commnt was directed at me . I have 2 DD214s and two discharges man. with me next to you sitting in my chair you are truly an eagle dave Rennie |
