Dear George:

On April 17th 2010, over 1500 liberty-minded individuals braved cold weather (and hailstones at one point) to gather at the Corning Preserve in Albany, New York to celebrate the second anniversary of the local Tea Party Movement.  The event, dubbed “America Rising”, featured a formidable lineup of speakers and activists from around the Albany area and throughout Upstate New York.  Groups included Albany 9-12, Sons of Liberty, Campaign For Liberty, HomeFront Patriots, Oathkeepers, Upstate Conservative Coalition, and many others. Please go to www.albanyteaparty2010.com  for a complete listing.

The America Rising event was entirely self-funded. After paying the City of Albany, the various vendors, and all other outstanding bills, the event planners were left with remaining funds.  We’ve made the decision to donate $1,033.00 to each of five charities for a total of $5,165.00.

The America Rising event planners are pleased to select GoE Laptops for Wounded Warriors as one of the five charities to receive a donation check of $1,033.00.

The tremendous generosity of those attending the America Rising event and the local groups mentioned above, clearly demonstrate the growing momentum of the Upstate New York Liberty Movement.  Everyone involved in planning, attending, coordinating or speaking at the event is proud for both a tremendously successful event and for the opportunity to donate to worthy charity groups.

Sincerely,

Valerie A. Doane
America Rising 2010 Tea Party Co-coordinator
