Gathering of Eagles partner Move America Forward has been leading a cross-country caravan of Gold and Blue Star families, veterans and other patriotic Americans that arrives tonight in Washington, D.C. after a week long trek that began in San Francisco last Thursday.

Local and early arriving Eagles are encouraged to greet the caravan when it arrives at the Hyatt Regency Washington on Capitol Hill, 400 New Jersey Avenue, NW.

Please plan to greet them between 5:30 p.m. and 7 p.m. They're scheduled to depart from Richmond, Va., at 3 p.m. and head up I-95 to D.C. That's a bad stretch of road for afternoon commuters so that's why the arrival time is a bit sketchy.

The Move America Forward caravan has collected over TEN THOUSAND American flags from proud patriots across the country to send to units in Iraq and Afghanistan as a message of support for our troops and their mission fighting the war on terror.
