  On Nov 10th,,,,,,

Our Second Laptop presentation was over @ the Portsmouth Medical Center!  Bless the Lord, We only  had 1 Wounded warrior in rehabilitation's......We presented to Srt. Chris A.  From Miami on Nov. 10th, which just happen to be on the 235th Birthday of the Marines....So, while we were there presenting, we partook in the cake cutting event and I know that most citizens would agree when I said this to the many fine, Retired and Active Marines on hand, that "we, the citizens of the United States, appreciate their services to keep our Country a free one.  thank you".

Our first laptop presentation w/the Portsmouth Medical center was back in July 2010 and we presented 8 computers: 6 Marines and 2 Navy personnel.  George Samek, family and friends of the Gathering of Eagles both N.C. & Va., Joann & Matt w/the New Republic Patriots of Hampton Roads, Va. , Several folks from the VFW post 4809, Marianne w/Soldiers Angels, the folks from the VFW post out of Staunton, Va, Linda from the Warrior Transition Brigade, and so many other folks that have provided donations of  funds as well: Too many to mention!!!!!

every dollar helps our cause and trust me, to see the smile on the wounded warriors face when we present and we express, Thank you for your services; your bravery is very much appreciated;  The citizens of America, appreciate The freedoms we have........  "thank you, thank you"

Currently, GeOrge Samek and a few other station volunteers are gearing up for a Christmas presentationWe are working on presenting laptop computers to at least 3, maybe 4 medical centers:  Fort Bragg,  Portsmouth Medical & Walter Reed.  ****As of last week, GeOrge has been working w/gentleman by the name of Andy Hay of Symex America, Inc. and this company is donating 20 laptop computers that will possibly need hard drives so, we are hoping, for this coming Christmas, to have the systems up and running so donations for the hard drives will be needed.  Mean time, the "station volunteers are contacting the medical centers to possibly set up our presentations along with any holiday celebrations the Medical centers might be having w/the wounded warriors.

Remember, your donations are a tax write off: We are a501 (c)(4) organization

Update w/donations

12/07/2010

Thanks to the many donators in the past few weeks, we have received laptop computers and funds!  Thank you, thank you.  Both Walter Reed and Portsmouth medical center will be pleased to hear that we, the citizens have come together to share gratitude for the wounded warriors.  Updates on future presentations during this holiday season will be brought to your attn as soon as arrangements have been made with these centers.  Again, thanks ...and We will deliver!
