Fly high Eagle, fly high. No longer are we lone Eagles, passing time as part of the "silent majority." We have found our voice and gathered together to make a stand that says to the world, "We will not be moved." We will not allow a vocal minority to abuse our members with venom filled slurs, we will no longer permit the left-wing fringe sole access to members of congress and the media. WE WILL BE HEARD. The first ANSWER announcement about the March on the Pentagon said, and I quote, "We will gather at noon on March 17th, at the Vietnam Memorial (Constitution Gardens)..." ANSWER, you didn't awaken a sleeping giant, you kicked him! This giant is an opponent who will expose your lies, an opponent who will dog your steps, an angered giant who can finnaly face the "peacenicks" that shamed our country into a dispicable "peace" in Vietnam. A "peace" that cost the liberty, honor and lives of millions of South Vietnameese as the North Vietnam government continues to "re-educated" them, even today.

Amen! Beautiful words that tell it like it is. No more will we allow the vile leftist anti-American movement to flourish. We must pursue it and stamp it out, and NEVER allow them to try to represent the average American, the majority, who DO love their country, DO support their troops, and DO put God and Country above their own selfish interests!

I drove straight through to Florida after leaving DC yesterday and fell asleep within minutes of getting home. When I awoke this morning, I laid there wondering if I'd just dreamed the entire event. Was it possible that A Gathering of Eagles had actually taken place? Had I listened to the sound of thousands of American flags flapping in the wind, heard the voices chant U S A with pride and purpose and stood in the company of so many great American Vets and their supporters? Thankfully it wasn't a dream, instead it was my dream come true. From an 80+ year old uniformed Sailor to the young, active duty Marines, bikers and bankers, teachers and truckers, pilots and police, their families and supporters were all there. They came from around the country and a few from overseas, in dreadful weather conditions, with little notice, because it was the right thing to do. A special thanks to all the Vietnam Vets that were present yesterday. To you all who gave so much and received so little in return, I hope you know how much you are appreciated. To all the GOE organizers,THANK YOU for all your hard work and dedication. Please, keep the EAGLES UP and running. I've spent the day reading the blogs, looking at pictures and watching video's at YouTube of yesterdays Gathering of Eagles. The media might not have provided fair and balanced reporting, but the word is getting out nonetheless. Never again will only 40 people show up as a counter protest to the hate America crowd. The anti-American, anti-troop groups will now have to contend with Eagles. The silent majority, as we proved yesterday, is more than a match for the vocal minority.

Amen Kit! I have never worn the uniform of my country, but yesterday I finally got the opportunity to stand shoulder to shoulder a group of real Americans and fight against forces who seek to undermine our country. As I walked past Arlington Cemetary on my way to the Gathering, I made a silent promise that I would do my best that day to honor the many sacrifices made by those resting under those headstones. I have never felt more proud than when I joined the small group of Eagles who occupied the circle at then end of the Memorial Bridge. I felt like we were personally guarding those Gardens of Stone behind us from the lunatics marching across that bridge. It was most definitely a defining moment for me and I beieve it was the beginning of a new day in our country. My thanks to those who organized the Gathering and to all who participated. God bless our military, our president, the future Gatherings of Eagles, and the United States of America.

We're not getting fair coverage from the media. That's to be expected.
Personally, I wasn't concerned with how many would rally. I was determined to do what I could to protect our war memorials from any kind of desecration. I also thought about what I might do if I witnessed the Marxists putting Old Glory to the torch. I would not have simply watched, that's for sure. I never in my life saw such a gathering of losers and misfits than that ANSWER mob. And I have never been more proud of my countrymen who came from every corner of the Union to stand as one! Salute! I went to the "Gathering of Eagles" yesterday at the Vietnam Memorial... Met some vets. Hugged some vets. Saw some commies... (really!) We had a good time considering it was cold and the wind was howling. Put together a little video from the event. All the Best! Mike
PS. Freehugsforvets.com is my website to try to welcome vets home. Reintegrationprogram.com is going to be offering free or inexpensive resources to help speed the healing of our returning vets. To: Redhead Infidel
I was very proud to be among the Eagles yesterday!!! I have posted a bunch of pics on my blog and will upload them when I can. Thanks for putting this together and keep up the great work!!!

Ty, maybe we can get Russ to write a flip side for "You Ain't Gonna Touch This Wall" and you can have your friend record it. ... "This Is The Dawning Of The Age Of The Eagle. Aquarius Can Kiss My Arse."

It was indeed Our Day!
So, was this it or are there MORE to follow? Let us not stop here! UPWARDS AND ONWARD TO VICTORY, I say! Can I hear a HOOAH?? Or an OO-RAH?? To: Redhead Infidel

HEY! YOU THERE! Y'all are singin' my song!! I can smell the blood of the Leftinistra and it is foul...they left on Our Day all glum and putrid looking with their tales dragging. OUTSTANDING!! To: Redhead Infidel
May the eagles continue to soar strong. I hope that we realize that the anti-war movement is not done with their anti-americanism, plans for desecration, and contempt for all things free. Be on the lookout for events planned on Memorial Day, the Fourth of July, etc. over the upcoming year. The Eagles may need to fly again.

Hello Fellow Eagles, I was there (female vet in wheelchair) plus children. We were "global warmed-in" at home so we got a late start and arrived about 1300 or so. "#1 Son" immediately commented on the raucous chanting we could hear from "them" and how boring it was. Then it went up an octave or so. Must have been the She-Hag taking over, he observed. By that time, we'd made our way to the GoE site. My children loved the RT guys, I don't think they'd ever seen that many big men in leather jackets with patches. Plenty of people "made a hole" for me when needed, everyone was courteous. By contrast, the children's verdict on the "other side" marchers was "wow, they are really disorganized". We took a recon around the GoE site as everything was closing down, and then crossed the street. My children immediately commented that the only trash they'd seen on the GoE site was a couple of torn signs of "theirs" near the entrance. (Several GoE members obligingly stomped on a sign for my camera.) Our troops obviously remembered how to do police call! On "their" site, yech, trash everywhere. Trash for trash! This mamma eagle and fledgelings are looking forward to our next outing in defense of our country!

The ANSWER crowd is more than welcome to come to DC on Memorial Day weekend..... Rolling Thunder would just roll right over them. Think even Cindy Shehan is so stupid that she would dare to spit out her venom anywhere near 500,000+ bikers? No, Cindy, Jane and company will NOT be anywhere near Washington DC on Memorial Day weekend.

Harry, this has succeeded beyond our wildest hopes, never dreaming that we would be sooooooooo greatly empowered by our AMERICAN ETHOS.... You know Harry, I have had a hell of a week, buried one son, said goodbye to another son at the airport as he left for Bagdad, and immediately attended the funeral of a friend's late husband. I would PERSONALLY like to thank ALL 30,000 of those really FANTASTIC EAGLES who have lifted me up this week and kept me going. THANKS TO ALL OF YOU, Evie--Wingwoman7772@yahoo.com

Ever since getting back from DC, I've been reading and re-reading the feelings and thoughts of other Vets and non-vets who were there in DC. It's still like a fantastic dream you don't want to wake up from. I have never been so proud in all my life as on the 17th. I have lived all over this country since coming back from Vietnam, looking for a purpose and a home. I've had people say: Welcome Home and felt nothing but imbarrassment from it, because this was not the country or home I remembered. I have felt like some kid lost in a foreign country that couldn't find his way home. Now, for the first time in all these years I really feel like I have a purpose and a home. After meeting some of the Gold and Blue Star Parents on this trip, it woke me up to the fact that these kids of theirs might not be mine by blood but they are in spirit for the Love of God and Country and Our Way Of Life. From this point on, my purpose will be to attend every Pro-Troops Rally I can. My home will be the roads between these rallies. I hope and pray that I will meet many more at these rallies over and over again, until we Take America Back!!! God Bless America, Our Troops and Their Families!!! Gary B. Disabled Vietnam Vet

Thanks for joining us, Gary, and a very sincere and heartfelt "Welcome home!"
To: Redhead Infidel
Gary, A hearty WELCOME HOME, BROTHER! I too am a 100 disabled (Army) Vietnam vet. I was blessed by the generousity of our Brothers in the Corp to get a ride to and from the GOE. I volunteered to serve in White Sector, during our rally and missed out on some of the festivities. Although our sector remained quiet throughout the day, we twice sent Brothers into the breach, once again, when ANSWER got "frisky" in Green Sector. (Lincoln Memorial area) I think I can speak for the majority of Patriots and collectively designate you our first National Patriot-at-Large. I'll see you in Philadelphia, Brother! Deport Anti War Protesters.
That was my sign, I never got to see Sheehan and the other disgusting pigs. But we were out on Constitution Ave. setting up the gauntlet for the protesters to walk through. Many had to walk over top their own signs that were taken and thrown to the ground. Many lowered their signs and hung them upside down as they walked through our formation. The thing that stood out to me was how young they were. How sad that they just don't understand how they are being used by the foreign elements that have organised this protest. Or those who own the Democratic party: move on dot org. GOD BLESS AMERICA GOD BLESS OUR TROOPS GOD BLESS OUR VETERANS GOD BLESS ALL WHO CAME TO THE GOE. ron To: Redhead Infidel
DID ANYONE GET A HEAD COUNT FOR US? I HEARD WHILE I WAS THERE AROUD 10,000.
ron To: Redhead Infidel
Ron, The National Park Police originally estimated (from areil surveilance) the ANSWER crowd had about 12,000 attendees and the GOE crowd had about 38,000 attendees. This was later revised to 10,000 and 30,000. I figure the Park Police would be about as nuetral a source as you could find. Radar

Geez, I just reread my post! You would think a guy, with a college education could spell "aerial" and "neutral"!
